I will start class by doing a quick visual check of your critical analysis assignment so I can give credit to those who completed it as assigned. Then, we will begin with a brief introduction to Tecumseh, a Shawnee war chief who had a significant impact during the early 1800's.
1812: Tecumseh's Last Stand
After we watch the short video, we will work with partners to reach consensus (agreement) with our interpretations of Tecumseh's famous quote.
Remember - Next week we will have class on Monday only. Professional Development Days are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. I will be in Rapid City on Friday per your syllabus.
Assignment for Monday, Sept. 23:
Read the Service Learning Handbook information you receive in class today. On Monday, we will start brainstorming ideas for your service learning project (described in your syllabus). Make sure you read this handbook so you know what is meant by "service learning".
