Today in class we're going to talk about biases and stereotypes. How are these two terms defined, what is the difference, and what are the implications for working with children and their families? We will be doing an in-class activity to help us identify our own biases.
Assignment for Monday, Sept. 30:
Read Chapter 3 in your text. Complete the Internet Assignment on page 116. You will be sharing your topic with the class. Be sure to follow the directions completely. Respond to all of the questions in #2 in a one-page typed document that will be attached to the one-page print-out of the home page of the site.
