Today in class we're going to talk about the definition of "success" and how it is defined differently by different people. We're also going to look at the role people play in a group situation when the group is trying to achieve consensus. Is the person who is the most talkative the leader? Or, is the quiet one who listens and reflects a leader, too? We'll do a group NASA activity to look at the roles each one of us play in a group attempting to reach consensus.
Assignment for Friday, Sept. 20:
We're going to move into the topic of "critical reflection" - what is it and do we know how to do it. Your assignment is to read the quote by Tecumseh, a Shawnee military leader, and reflect on each line - what does each line mean to you? What do you think Tecumseh's intent was when he said these powerful words? Is what he was intending to say the same as how you are interpreting it?
The analysis sheet I give you in class today will be due on Friday, at the beginning of class (hand written).
